Gigi is an honorary Husky …The University of Connecticut women’s basketball team has paid tribute to Gianna Bryant by making her an honorary Husky. Though still five years away from graduating high school, Gigi aimed to join that top flight basketball program. The team tweeted a photo of flowers on their players’ bench and a caption using the nickname Kobe gave her and trademarked only weeks ago, “Mambacita is forever a Husky.” (Daily News)

Library love …A new Gallup study found that more people are going to the library than going to the movies. According to the study, adults in the U.S. take an average of 10.5 trips to libraries every year, compared to 5.3 trips a year to movie theaters. The study also revealed that women visit libraries twice as often as men.

Got the winter blues? Take a trip somewhere warm. According to a survey from Apple Vacations, 88% of people say traveling to a warm climate during the cold winter months is a real mood booster. That’s probably why 35% of people go on tropical vacations in the winter. The same survey found that 72% of respondents say they get the winter blues, with those between the ages of 36 and 48 more likely to feel down this time of year. (SWNS)

Sober partners ...As you may have heard, Jessica Simpson reveals in her new book,Open Book,that she has been sober since 2017. But she also recently shared that her husband Eric Johnson also quit drinking when she did. "Eric gave up drinking the second I did,” she toldPeople. “He said, ‘I’ll do it with you, babe.’ It was like no biggie and he hasn’t gone back or looked back. It’s just the way he is. He’s a very selfless and loving person who is the most incredible father on the planet.”
