A North Carolina man looking for birds to photograph wound up spotting something considerably stranger when he noticed something odd in the sky that he suspects could have been a UFO. According to a local media report, Bret Jones' curiosity was initially piqued when he saw what first appeared to be a flashing light that looked like it was slowly moving across the sky. Fortunately, since he had his camera equipment with him, the bewildered witness was able to capture the anomaly on film, although he lamented that the focus function on the device couldn't quite lock on to the UFO.
Nonetheless, when Jones later looked at the footage from his sighting, he was pleasantly surprised to see that there were a few frames in which the object can be seen relatively clearly. "When I saw it, it just blew me away," he mused, "because it was not what I expected at all." The potential UFO appears to be a silvery, pill-shaped object with what seems to be a tether of some kind protruding from one end. These characteristics have led skeptical observers to say that the object is most likely a Mylar balloon, but Jones is not buying that explanation and, instead, theorizes that the 'string' might actually be "some kind of fuel" being ejected from the craft.
