My Mom is awesome at surprising me with treasures from my past. And just the other night when I stopped in, she broke out this paper I had written back in first or second grade. This must have been when my fascination with Peter Rabbit was just beginning, alllll those years ago :-)
My husband commented that my handwriting was pretty admirable for a beginner. Was I about 6 years old? Maybe. But we both agree that my spelling back then was a little on the shaky side. It's obvious I was trying to sound things out in my head. I surely must have had help with spelling "would," but where in the world did I get that spelling for "always?" Ha!
