New York City always has something fun to do over the weekend! Well, here are our "Z pop 3" picks for this weekend!
1. The Rockefeller Center 2018: The Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, March 31
This years Rockefeller Center's inaugural Easter Egg Hunt will be featuring a day of family-friendly, free activities. The event starts at 10am and goes until 2pm on the center plaza. The free activities include an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 2-10,Easter bonnet making stations, live musical performances,prize giveaways, and more. All activities are free and open to the public!! They are also offering complimentary skate rentals for all children under the age of 11. That event is happening from 8:30am-6pm on Saturday, March 31, at The Rink at Rockefeller Center!!
There is going to be a required onsite registration for the Easter Egg Hunt. Also the guests will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Smorgasburg Opening Weekend!!!! - Saturday & Sunday, March 31 & April 1
This weekend the internet’s favorite food market: Smorgasburg is kicking off! The event goes from 11am-6pm on Saturday in Williamsburg’s East River Park, and on Sunday in Prospect Park! There's going to be over 100 stalls of vendors serving up tasty treats and a bunch of Instagramable foods!! There's going to be a bunch of classic Smogasburg veterans. Some of the newcomers will serve treats like deep-fried cookie dough, pork shawarma tacos, and lobster truffle fries!!
The event is free to look but all of the food will cost you!!
3. Watch the annual Easter parade in action!!
Every year on Easter Sunday, the city closes Fifth Avenue between 49th and 57th Streets for the parade! Get ready to grab your Easter bonnet and head out to watch the parade live! Well.... actually it's not really a "parade" meaning, there’s no formal procession or unifying theme other than having a great time!!
This is a free event!!
