Demi Lovato finally released her fifth studio album Confident at the stroke of midnight on Friday. The 15-song LP, which features her hit singles “Cool for the Summer” and the empowering title track, showcases her vocal swagger and successfully sheds away the Disney veneer she no longer connects with.

On Friday morning, the singer called On Air with Ryan Seacrest to rejoice over the long-awaited release. “I’ve worked so hard on this album, so for it to finally be out feels so amazing!” she said.

This weekend (October 17), she will promote the collection on the Tracy Morgan-hosted Saturday Night Live by serving as the musical guest. Although Demi will not join the comedians on any of their sketches, she will perform three tracks from her new record.

“I’m doing ‘Cool for the Summer’ into ‘Confident,'” she revealed. “And then I’m going to do a song on the album called ‘Stone Cold.'”
